Do not expect to see a significant improvement in your body contours in the first few days after liposuction.
Many patients are at first disappointed because the improvement in their external appearance is not immediately obvious.
Be patient and be assured that the swellings on the areas of the body where liposuction was performed will subside day by day. Nevertheless it may take weeks before the final body contours are attained.
The skin in the aspirated region may feel numb at times. This reduction in sensitivity usually disappears completely. The compression corset or bandages on the body are normally worn for 6 to 8 weeks, those in the region of the face for about 10 days.   The sutures on the small incisions are normally removed after 8 days. Normal activities can be resumed in the first weeks following liposuction on the body or the limbs, however strenuous physical activities should be avoided for 4-6 weeks.

Liposuction is a very good method to significantly improve body contours with only small scars. With normal eating habits and regular physical activity lasting results can be expected.
