BEFORE NOSE CORRECTION / NOSE OPERATION

How is my operation planned?
The initial outpatient examination as well as the first consultation with your plastic surgeon is extremely important. During this initial consultation the plastic surgeon will ask you how you envisage the appearance of your nose, examine the individual structures of your nose and face, and explain the corrective measures available.
In addition, your surgeon will explain to you the factors which could influence the operative procedure and the result in your specific individual case. These factors include not only the structure of the nose bone and nose cartilage, but also the shape of your face, the thickness of your skin, your age and your expectations.
Do not forget to tell your surgeon if an operation has ever been carried out on your nose or if you have ever had any injury to your nose.
You should also inform your surgeon about any allergies you have or if you have problems with nasal breathing. It is also important that you tell your surgeon about any medication you take and if you smoke.
How do I prepare for a nose correction / nose operation?
You will receive detailed instructions from your plastic surgeon on how to prepare for your operation.
These instructions include guidelines for eating, drinking and smoking as well as information on taking and – if necessary – discontinuing medication.
If you follow these recommendations carefully, you will make a decisive contribution to the problem-free course of your operation.
